There are a ton of great activities to do in and around the Suncadia Resort area. Here are a few of our favorite Suncadia-area activities:
Suncadia - Things To Do In The Summer
Fly Fishing
The rivers around Suncadia have some of the best fly fishing in the state. Guided fly fishing trips (led by Troutwater) to the Yakima River leave from the Suncadia lodge. Afishing license is required (you can purchase them from the Washington State Dept of Fish & Wildlife). Prices for the guided trips range from $200-400/person.
Biking
Grab your bike and hit one of the many biking trails around Suncadia. The resort has a bunch of paved paths as well as some dirt trails to explore. Not sure where to go? Check out this Suncadia biking trails map.
Golf
Suncadia has two great public golf courses (and one great private golf course at Tumble Creek). Prospector and Rope Rider typically open in April/May and stay open until the end of October. Rope Rider also has a nice par-3 practice course that is made up of 3 holes.
Horseback Riding
Saddle Up! Three Peaks Outfitters offers horseback riding about 1/2 mile away from Suncadia entrance. Hour-long rides, half day and full day trips available.
Lake Cle Elum
Looking for a beach? Speelyi Beach on Lake Cle Elum is a great place to soak in some sun and take a dip in the water. It's located about a 10-minute drive from Suncadia.
Roslyn Farmers Market
The Roslyn Farmers Market is a great place to find amazing produce as well as unique, handmade items from local artists. It runs from mid June to mid September on Sundays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Pennsylvania Avenue (the main street in Roslyn).
Day Trip to Leavenworth
Located about an hour away from Suncadia, Leavenworth is a great little day trip anytime of the year (note: if you are going in the winter, be sure to check blewitt passs conditions before you go). Be sure to check out the famous hat shop and have a bratwurst at the beer garden.
River Rafting
The Yakima river offers some great rapids for river rafting. Guided trips leave daily from the Lodge. Great activity for small groups and families.
Suncadia - Things To Do In The Fall
Suncadia Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival takes place at the Nelson Dairy Farm in Suncadia every October (the event runs the first two weekends in October). Tons of great stuff for kids and adults. Admission is free. More info here.
Suncadia - Things To Do In The Winter
Suncadia Winterfest
Lots of great winter activities at Suncadia Winterfest including 5K run, caroling, Gingerbreadhouse making, holiday crafts and more. Click here for the full Winterfest 2016 guide.
Ice Skating at Suncadia
Every Winter, the Village Pavilion near the Lodge turns into a ice skating rink. You can bring your own skates or rent them for around $15-20/person. All skill levels are welcome.
Sleigh Ride
Take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the forest. Offered by Three Peaks Outfitters. Highly recommended!
Skiing at The Summit
Bring your skis and hit the slopes at The Summit at Snoqualmie pass, about 45 mins away from Suncadia.
Sledding/Tubing
Suncadia has a ton of great hills for sledding as well as a rope-tow (additional cost). Perfect winter activity for the kids. You can rent inner tubes at the Lodge or bring your own.
Snowshoeing around Suncadia
Snowshoeing is a great way to see explore Suncadia and get some exercise at the same time. The lodge rents snowshoes for $12 for 2 hours and $25 for 24 hours.
