This past weekend was the 11th Annual Suncadia Harvest Festival at the Nelson Dairy farm in Suncadia. The event takes place during the first two weekends of October. Having never gone before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was really impressed with all of the activities. And unlike other Suncadia-sponsored events, most of the activities were free.
The festival is packed with fun for the entire family including horseback rides, a 1000-bale straw maze, petting zoo, pumpkin patch, wagon rides in an old-time covered wagon, a bouncy house, musical entertainment, lots of great food/drinks, and a good variety of local merchants.
There is also a Big Dirty Run for adults (5K) and kids (1K) complete with a bunch of muddy obstacles.
